Brian Patterson founded WSVC with Peter Glusker in 2017, to combine and accelerate their respective early-stage venture capital investing activities.
Brian is also the founder of multiple companies including, among others: White Star Real Estate, a leading developer and property asset manager in Europe; Archive Management Solutions, the leading provider of digital and physical record management solutions in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), now part of Iron Mountain, the world-wide industry leader; and Plus Energia (PE), an energy distributor in the deregulated Poland market.
Brian is also an active social entrepreneur and the founder of several foundations to level the playing field for kids facing adversity, including White Star Foundation, OpenStax Poland (OSP), Pistacja, Career Maps, Katalyst Engineering, Friends of Childrens Hospitals, and Big Brothers/Big Sisters (BBBS), the world’s largest mentoring program.
Brian was honored by CEEQA and the Financial Times in 2012 with the Central and Eastern Europe Quality Awards (CEEQA) Lifetime Achievement Award for his activities in the CEE real-estate industry. Brian is a member of the Board of Trustees at Rice University and serves on the Management Board of the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is a graduate of Rice University and Stanford Graduate School of Business.
